LOCATION:  Bovay Scout Ranch,
northwest of Houston, near Navasota

Bovay Scout Ranch was founded in 2001 and is named after its founders, Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. Bovay Jr. Located three miles south of downtown Navasota, Texas, Bovay Scout Ranch offers each visitor an opportunity to enjoy the wonder and beauty of central Texas. Bovay Scout Ranch is a site to behold with its rolling hills and lakes, campsites surrounded by native Huisache and Bois-d'arc trees and sunsets that are breathtaking. The ranch's 1,498 acres are a natural paradise for plants and wildlife. Bovay Scout Ranch has facilities for a broad range of activities including a water park, sling shots (wrist rockets), BMX bikes, dino dig, Cub Scout shooting range and more.

DIRECTIONS:  Approximately 60 miles from Houston.
1.  Take U.S. Hwy 290 toward Austin (taking the HOV lane will save lots of time on Friday).
2.  Near Hempstead, exit on Hwy 6 toward Navasota and Bryan.  Stay on Hwy 6 for 15 miles.
3.  Turn right onto County Road 317 (before you get to Grassy Creek, and before you get to Navasota).
4.  Stay on CR 317 for about 2 miles.  Camp Bovay is at the end of this road.

CHECK IN:
Please check-in at the Bovay registration office upon arrival.  Sites have been pre-assigned by den.

MEDICAL FORMS:
A BSA medical form (Parts A & B only) will be required for every child and every
adult attending this campout.  The medical forms must be presented upon arrival at Bovay.  The form does not require any physical exam, doctor's visit, or doctor's signature. To Download the Form Click Here.  If you have turned in your medical form to the pack, we have a copy on file.  It is always good practice to enter the BSA Medical form on the electronic .pdf and save a copy for your records and bring a printed copy in the case to each campout.

Each Den Leader should have a three ring binder in each campsite with the medical forms for each scout and family member on the campout.  Proper BSA Medical forms are part of the campsite inspection.

Please observe the rules on where you can park your car.  You may need to unload your gear, and then move your car to a parking area.

Bovay Scout Ranch Cub Scout campsites are equipped with modern restrooms, private hot showers, potable drinking water, lighted covered pavilion, picnic tables, and campfire ring. Campsites have a unique and stunning view of prairies, lakes and woods, breathtaking sunsets and glorious sunrises. Campsites and facilities are wheelchair accessible.

ACTIVITIES:
Fort, nature center, fishing, biking and nature hikes. The scouts will rotate on a schedule of different stations.
