Come join your Pack 55 friends for a 2-hour morning climb in the Woodlands (1 hour north of downtown). More information at: https://texastreeventures.com/. This climbing adventure includes 45 minutes of instruction, and then 2 hours of climbing. The address is:
Youth Supervision Requirements:
Children ages 6 to 8 require an adult to child ratio of 1:1 on the course with them at all times.
Children ages 9 to 12 require an adult to child ratio of 1:2 on the course with them at all times.
Additional Requirements:
Apparel: Closed toe, closed heel shoes required. No hats, and No Loose clothing.
Arrival Time: At least 20 minutes before reservation time
Weight: All Participants weighed at check-in. Minimum: 44lbs. Maximum: 275lbs.
Vertical Reach: must reach 70” to traverse independently
Before You Arrive:
- All participants must complete a waiver of liability form. Fill this out online to save time!
- All participants must remove any dangling jewelry, rings, and piercings that may present a hazard during the use of the course or otherwise interfere with your safety gear.
- All participants must empty pockets of any loose items that would cause injury to those below if they were to fall.
- Long hair must be pulled back and secured.
- Minors (anyone under the age of 18) must be accompanied by an adult while at the park. No minors are to be dropped off and left (even if they are allowed to participate on the course by themselves) at any time.
When You Arrive:
- Spectators must stay in designated areas and away from underneath the course. There will be plenty of places to take pictures around the course.
- No more than one person on each element at a time.
- No more than three people on each platform at a time.
- Participants must be clipped in with both belay clips at all times unless switching to the next approved cable.
- Any intentional unclipping of oneself or others (unless you are a minor’s parent or guardian and helping them) while on a park course is cause for immediate expulsion from the park.
- Absolutely no horse play and rough housing of any kind on the course. This can result in immediate expulsion from the park.
- No jumping off platforms.
- No jumping on platforms or on elements.
- No running on or around the main platform.
- All participants must listen to all directions given by course staff.
- All participants must complete a liability release waiver. Children under 18 are required to have the waiver signed by their parent or guardian. Adults bringing in children who are not their own must have the child’s legal guardian sign a waiver prior to arrival.
- Absolutely no vaping, smoking, drugs, or alcohol is allowed at Texas TreeVentures. Anyone observed or suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be asked to leave the course immediately and will not be eligible for refunds. The Texas TreeVentures staff reserves the right to deny course access to anyone for any reasonable cause at any time.
Each climb includes a 30-45 minute Gear Up and Ground School orientation required to teach participants how to put on and properly use equipment.
Please register your youth participants and the correct number of adult climbers to satisfy the supervision ratios above.
Pack 55 is prepaying for these reserved climbing slots. The normal group rate for a 2 hour climb is $40/climber. You will be asked to pay $20/climber to hold your spot. This represents a 50% discount on an already discounted price. Don't miss out! No refunds are possible for cancellations less than 10 days in advance. As a result, please make every effort to attend your scheduled climbing event.
